A Resounding Legacy

Dedicated in September 2014, OU’s Elliott Tower rises 151 feet above campus as a welcoming beacon visible for miles. The 49-bell carillon tower, surrounded by a fountain and gardens, is made possible by a generous donation from longtime OU supporters Hugh and Nancy Elliott. Mrs. Elliott describes the tower as “a symbol of unity for people of all walks of life to come together.”

Believing in the Magic of Theatre

Adeline Hirschfeld-Medalia founded the Communication and Theatre program at OU in 1972. She worked here from 1966 until her retirement in 1986, and created an endowment providing students with scholarships for the last three decades.
