What student organizations and/or sports are you involved in? As well as playing volleyball, I also write for the Oakland Post and am interning with the Sports Information Department.

How are you funding your education? Do you work while going to school? I am fortunate to be on a full athletic scholarship and I also work at the Oakland Post. The Post originally hired me as an intern and I got promoted to a staff reporter a few weeks later, now writing two stories a week.

Why did you pick OU?  OU gave me the chance to play volleyball at a competitive level and offered an attractive journalism program.

What is the best thing about OU?  My favorite thing about OU is having the opportunity to travel all over the country during the volleyball season. This past season, we played in West Point, NY for the Army Black Knights Invitational tournament. While we were there, we had a tour of the campus and spent some time in downtown New York City.

What’s your favorite place to relax on campus? The hammocks by Bear Lake

Where do you like to eat on campus? Chick-Fil-A in the Oakland Center

Is there any other thing that you can tell us about your experience at OU and how donors have impacted your education and/or experience? I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities my athletic scholarship has given me. Donors have made it possible for me to have a unique education playing volleyball at OU, sharing the experience with my teammates and leaving a lasting impression for years to come.
